Would you have believed them if a group of visitors were to barge into your comfort zone one day and tell you about the existence of a universe out there that you never knew of? Well, this is exactly what happens to the nomes in Truckers, the first book of The Nome Triology.
In this 1989 children’s fantasy novel byTerry Pratchett, the nomes, living under the store Arnold Brothers and believed its motto that it literally contains the 'All Things Under One Roof', realised that the store is closing down and they have to move. This belief was the basis of the Nome’s religion – what is the author trying to say with this setup? What does the truth, eventually revealed, about their belief reflect?
